A project which is a combination of a love of design and a tendancy to blog.
I have posted blogs of various types over the last 7 years. Something which has been constant in any online presence since my teenage years. It’s only within the last few years, that I have realised what a useful tool can be. And whilst, I use it as a method of de-stressing, it has also become something to show a human side to a company I am trying to start off.
It is something I feel is important, to show some personality whilst online. I find this is something that many sites and designers seem to lack, so I take great pride in organising my business around something which is so personal to me. If you have passion for something, and enjoy it, I feel people can pick up on it. And I, for one, would be glad to work with someone who had passion and love for what they were doing.
The idea behind Riot Graphics is simple. Riot = chaos, Graphics = clean. So Riot Graphics is an oxymoron, two words which don’t belong together. I found the name after trying to find something which expresses what I am like. And I guess the miss match of chaos and clean is something that relates to me on a personal level. Being the cliche of misfit, I have found myself liking things that don’t go with my punk stylings. Also, the word ‘Riot’ is a shout out the punk scene which has helped me grow into a passioate adult. And a punk, willing to work in advertising, is another idea which does not make common bedfellows.
